This is 14 pounds of stone from Mexico, and it was made in Mexico.
A mortar and pestle is a tool used to crush, grind, and mix substances. The pestle is a heavy stick whose end is used for pounding and grinding, and the mortar is a bowl. The substance is ground between the pestle and the mortar.
I learned about these being used for guacamole at Charritos in Union City, New Jersey.

A Oaxaca, Mexico family owns and operates the restaurant. They lightly grind the cilantro, onion and jalapeno with the pestle, and then mash the avocado with a fork. Then they leave the mortor filled with fresh guacamole on the table as a dip bowl for chips.
I bought the motar and pestle at a bodega near the restaurant, and sent it to my mother. Since I wanted my mother to see this, but I did not want to burden her with a 14 pound stone from Mexico, I told her the item comes with a round-trip ticket.
If you win, I'll send my mother the UPS label, and she'll ship it from her apartment in Madison, Wisconsin. I may be able to arrange pick up, and I will discount the shipping ten dollars (reduced to $5).
I am glad to offer this on ebay.
